“Everything”
interactive installation, projection mapping, animation
The installation is built around a tesseract-inspired sculpture that explores the idea of how time might be perceived in higher dimensions: as something physical that can be moved through rather than experienced in a linear sequence. This idea was inspired by the film Interstellar and the concept of block time, where the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously. Instead of separating these moments into three distinct areas, I scattered them throughout the sculpture to emphasize the nonlinearity of time.
The past is represented through animated footage based on my own memories, using nostalgic imagery and childhood moments to recreate the feeling of remembering rather than simply telling my story. The present uses distorted mirrors, reflective tape, and live webcam feeds so viewers can see themselves within the installation and become aware of their own place in the current moment. The future is interactive, inviting participants to respond to reflective questions about their hopes, goals, and the people they want to become. As more people contribute, this part of the installation continues to grow, showing that the future is something we create together rather than something that is already fixed.
